Answer:

Given : A student broke this trapezoid into two triangles.

She says she has enough information to find the area of it.

To Find : Is she correct   ?

If Yes then find area

Solution:

Area of Triangle can be found using formula = (1/2) * Base * height

Height in both triangles  = 5 in

Base of  one triangle =   4 in

Base of  other triangle = 6 in

Area of one triangle = (1/2) * 4 * 5  = 10 sq inches

Area of another  triangle = (1/2) * 6 * 5  = 15 sq inches

Total area of trapezoid  = 10 + 15  = 25 sq inches..

Yes , She is correct

Area = 25 sq inches
