A) Why do we use germinating seeds in this experiment ?
B) What is the role of KOH in the experiment.

a) Because non germinating seeds or dormant seeds do not release CO2 during respiration.

b) To make sure that there is no CO2 in the container. KOH absorbs all the CO2 present inside the container.
