A student connected two resistors of resistances R1 and R2 in series with a battery of

voltage V and an ammeter. Thereafter, he disconnected the resistors and connected them

in parallel. This parallel combination of resistors is connected with the same battery and

same ammeter.

Now answer the following questions:

i) Draw the circuit diagram, when resistors are connected in series.

ii) Draw the circuit diagram, when resistors are connected in parallel.

iii) In which case (i) or (ii), the current in the circuit is more.

iv) Give any one advantage of connecting the circuit in parallel.​
