Answer:

LIME WATER TURNS MILKY

CaCO3 + 2HCl =› CaCl2 + CO2 + H2O

Explanation:

Marble i.e. calcium carbonate(CaCO3) reacts with dil.HCL to release calcium chloride(CaCl2), carbon dioxide(CO2) and water(H2O).

The gas which evolves after reaction is carbon dioxide(CO2) which reacts with lime water i.e. calcium hydroxide(Ca(OH)2) and turns it milky*

Co2 + Ca(OH)2 =› CaCO3 + H2O

(lime water turns milky due to the supension of insoluble calcium carbonate(CaCO3)).
