then passed mark =60

Let total marks be x

Then, 40%of x=60

=> 0.4x = 60

=> x = 60/0.4 = 150

Maximum marks are 150

\huge\bf\underbrace{\pink{A}\orange{n}\blue{s}\red{w}\green{e}\purple{r}}

then \: passed \: marks = 60

let \: totle \: marks \: be \: x

then \: 40\% \: of \: x = 60

 = 0.4x = 60

x =  \frac{60}{0.4}  = 150
