time =  10 min = 10 x 60 = 600 s
distance = 1+5 = 6 x 1000 = 6000 m
average speed = total distance / total time taken
                         = 6000 / 600
                         = 10m/s

Answer:

24km/hr

Explanation:

change in time T= 25-15=10 min=1/6 hours

(note that the time we got above is for the distance travelled between 1km and 5km.

therefore we need to take their difference)

Distance, D =5km -1 km= 4 km

Hence avg speed = Total distance/total time

= 4/1/6

= 4*6

= 24 km/hour
