A student has a vacuum flask and a glass bottle. They can both hold the same

volume of liquid. The student heats some water to 80°C and pours 100ml of the

water into each of the containers. Describe the energy transfer which takes place

between each container and the surroundings and explain why the water in the

vacuum flask stays hotter.​
