when silver reacts with hydrogen sulphide in the air, it given silver sulphide which gives the black colour on the surface of the silver metal
2Ag+ H2S⇒Ag2S+H2
when copper is exposed to the moisture in the air , the produce copper carbonate which is responsible for the green colour in the coins
Cu+O2+CO2+H20⇒CuCO3.Cu(OH)2
