Find the passing marks:

Passing marks = 80 + 60 = 140

Find the maximum marks:

35% = 140

1% = 140 ÷ 35 = 4

100% = 4 x 100 = 400 marks

Answer: The maximum marks is 400

given,

pass %=35%

got=80

marks to get pass=60

therefore,

35%=(140/x)100

35x=14000

x=14000/35

x=400

thus the maximum mark is 400
