A student is running a 5-kilometer race. He runs 1 kilometer every 3 minutes. Select the function that describes his distance from the finish line after x minutes. (1 point)

f(x) = − 1 over 3 x + 5

f(x) = − 1 over 5 x + 3

f(x) = 1 over 5 x + 5

f(x) = 1 over 3 x + 3

Now I'm not the best at math,  but I think your answer is A: f(x) = − 1 over 3 x + 5

Reasoning-

5(total kilometers of the race) - 1/3x (aka 1/3 multiplied by x, your minute variable, as he runs a third a kilometer a minute.) is the same as -1/3 + 5, therefore I'm fairly certain your answer is A

While I don't come here to answer the questions of others, the point begging of the other answer for this question got on my nerves as no real answer was provided.
