A student is unable to identify which is acetic acid or which is ethyl alcohol how could be identify with help of available Na2Co3

ethyl alcohol is C2H5OH and acetic acid is CH3COOH....

2CH3COOH +Na2CO3 gives 2CH3COONa + Co2 +H2O

while ethyl alcohol doesn't react with Na2CO3...
