A student kept the Simple pendulum just under the rotating fan and did the oscillating experiment. When Teacher noticed it, she switched off the fan and asked him to redo the experiment and asked to repeat the experiment for six different lengths. But when readings were checked by the Teacher, she finds that the readings are having errors which tend to be in one direction i.e. all readings are greater than the expected value. (4)
1. The error committed by the student when he did the experiment under the working fan is: a) Instrumental error b) Personal error c) Parallax error d) Least count error
2. Teacher asked the student to repeat the experiment six times. This is to minimize:
a) Systematic error b) Parallax error c) Least count error d) Random error
3. Teacher found that all readings are having errors which are tending to be in one direction. The error committed by the student is:
a) Systematic error b) Random error c) Parallax error d) Least count error
4. The Teacher found that student by habit was holding head a bit too far to the left while measuring the length of the string. The error committed by the student is:
a) Systematic error b) Personal error c) Parallax error d) Least count error
