A student makes the analogy that the cardiovascular system is like a highway. Why is this a good analogy?

Blood is made of many different kinds of cells.
The heart pumps blood through the veins.
The heart is centralized in the body.
Blood transports materials to and from different parts of the body.

Since the Blood transports materials to and from different parts of the body it is a true analogy that the cardiovascular system is like a highway.

Also as the highway connects the different cities, similarly the different organs of the body are connected and they get different minerals from each other
