Difference between 76 and 67 = 9

Difference in the answer = 27 * 9

                                          = 243.

(or)

27 * 76 = 2052

27 * 67 = 1809

2052 - 1809 = 243.

Let us calculate.
He multiplied = 27*76
But, he should multiply = 27*67
So, Difference between the answer = 27*76 - 27*67
= 27(76-67)
= 27*9
= 243.
So, His answer was 243 greater than the actual.
