Answer:

The wrong answer was greater than the correct one by 65124 i.e., their difference.

To find:-

The difference between the correct answer and the incorrect answer.

\bigstar Explaination:-

Initially the student multiplied by 65 instead of 56

Then the value becomes

=7236 × 65 = 470340

But the number is to be multiplied by 56 (correct one)

Then the value is

= 7236 × 56 = 405216

Then the difference between the correct and the incorrect value is given by,

= 470340 – 405216 = 65124

The first answer was greater than the second one by the value 65124.

wrong multiplication=7236×65

right multiplication=7236×56

difference between both answer

7236×65-7236×56

taking 7236 common

=7236×(65-56)

=7236×9

65,124

so, wrong answer was greater than right answer by65,124
