• Mass of the solid when dipped in water=40g
• Original volume =60x
• Apparent volume=40x
• Let the density of the material =x g/cm3
• According to the formula=
• Volume of liquid displaced= original volume – apparent volume = 60x-40x=20x
• Density= Mass/volume = 60/20= 3gm/cm3
• Mass of the solid when dipped in water=40g
