The following diagram shows the different stages of asexual reproduction in yeast. Yeast reproduce asexually by an asymmetric division process called budding. In this process a bud develops as an outgrowth due to repeated cell division at one specific site. These buds develop into tiny individuals. The nucleus of the parent cell or mother cell splits into a daughter nucleus and when fully mature, detach from the mother cell and become new independent individuals.
