Weighted Mean= (2*60+1*75+5*63+5*59+3*55)/(2+1+5+5+3)=60.625 marks

Solution:

Given:  

English Marks = 60

Hindi Marks = 75

Economics Marks = 55

Weighted mean = Multiplying weights with given set of the data.

To calculate weighted mean, each subject marks is multiplied with weight of each subject in numerator which is divided by the addition of weight of each marks.

Addition of the results = $\frac{2 \times 60+1 \times 75+5 \times 63+5 \times 59+3 \times 55}{2+1+5+5+3}=60.625$  

Weighted mean = 60.625 marks
