a student placed a silver bangle in a copper sulphate solution expecting to see a brown deposit of copper on the bangle . Did he observe what he was expecting to see? Explain your answer .

The observation he is expecting would not occur.

Higher reactive metals displace less reactive metals from their compounds.

Here silver is less reactive than copper and therefore cannot displace copper from its copper sulphate solution.

But copper can displace silver from its solution.
