A student prepared solutions of (i) an acid and (ii) a base in two separate beakers. She
forgot to lablel the solutions and litmus paper is not available in the laboratory. Since both
the solutions are colourless, how will she distinguish between the two.

she can distinguish between acid and base by taste them. If it organic acid then it will be easy for her because acids are sour in taste and bases are bitter in taste. If it's mineral acid then it will be harmful for her because mineral acids are very dangerous.
