A student received a 75% on an exam. If there were 20 questions on the exam, which ratio would show the number of questions answered correctly to the total number of questions?

1/4 x = 24 => x = 96
75 % of 96 = 72
75% of what she has answered ( 75 % of 72 = 54 )

to get 75 % she needs to get 72 right out of 96 ( 54 +18 = 72)
so she can atmost get 6 incorrect.

total number of questions = 20
number of questions answered correctly = 75% of 20
= 75/100 * 20
= 3/4 *20
= 15 questions

so ratio of the questions answered correctly to that of total number of questions = 15:20
= 3:4
