Let The maximum mark = 100

so total maximum marks for 5 subjects= 500

Total marks he scored = 500 x 50/100 =250

Marks scored by him for each subjects = 5x, 4x, 6x, 8x, 7x

5x + 4x + 6x + 8x + 7x  = 250

30x = 250

x = 8.33

mark for subject 1 = 5x = 41.65

Mark for subject 2 = 4x = 33.32

Mark for subject 3 = 6x = 49.98

Mark for subject 4 = 8x = 66.64

Mark for subject 5 = 7x = 58.31

He got more than 55% for 2 subjects
