garden while the ther in dark
room and watered both the
plants equally. After five days
the student observed that the
plant in the dark room dies
while the other plant in the
garden appears healthy. What
is the reason for this

Plants need sunlight to prepare food by the process of photosynthesis. During photosynthesis, plants converts light energy into chemical energy. Since the second pot is in dark room, it cannot get sunlight and prepare it's food. So the plant died. While the first plant got enough sunlight from the garden to make it's food.
