A student soaked 10 g of raisins in 25 ml of water in beaker A and 20 g of raisins in 50 ml of water in beaker B and measured the quantity of water left in beaker after an hour. What will he find? The answer is - Beaker B will have more water than in beaker A. What is the reason for it?

the outer solution in beaker B is dilute.....that means it has a low water concentration than the water inside the raisins....therefore the water will move from a region of high water concentration (inside the raisins) to a region of low water concentration(beaker B).the same is the case with beaker A,but in that case the amount of water is less in the beaker.....that is why then also water will move out of the raisins that were kept in beaker A but not in that quantity as in the case of beaker B.hence beaker B will have more water than beaker A.
