Given:  A student sold his phone at 5312 ,loss incurred will be 3/7% to the profit incurred when phone is sold at 25902

To find :  price he should sell his phone to get double profit which he was losing in starting

Solution:

Let say Cost Price of phone = C

Sold at 5312

Loss =  C - 5312

Sold at 25902

Profit = 25902 - C

(3/7) % of  (25902 - C )  =  Loss

=>  (3/700) (25902 - C )  = (C - 5312)

=> 77706 - 3C  = 700C  - 3718400

=> 703C = 3796106

=> C ≈ 5400

Loss in Starting = 5400 - 5312  = 88

Double Profit = 2 * 88  = 176

Selling Price = 5312 + 176  = 5488

He should sell phone at 5488
