A student spilled a bottle of ammonia in the corner of a lab. The whole lab was soon filled with a pungent smell. The students opened the windows and turned on the exhaust fan. Soon the smell disappeared. What happened exactly

the smell of ammonia mixed up with the air by diffusion and spreaded out. As ammonia's concentration was very less in air so its smell started to disappear and soon got away by intermixing in the outside are escaping from the lab.
