A student spilled ammonia in a corner of the lab. Soon the whole lab was filled with a bad smell. The students opened the windows and the smell went away. What happened?

Answer:

The smell of ammonia was spread all over the lab due to diffusion.As a result the bad smell was all over the lab but as soon as the windows were opened the air outside diffused into the inside air causing the odour to end.
