If the pH of distilled water is 7, then it shows green colour in pH paper and is neutral in nature. Adding NaCl in distilled water will not affect the pH of the water because NaCl is a neutral salt. It is a salt of strong acid and strong base, they neutralised each other not disturbing the pH.
