Answer:

Let's consider it as uniform circular motion,

Given that,

Radius of the circular path = 1 m

Distance covered by the stone = ?

Number of rotations = 20

Time for completing 20 rotations = 10 seconds.

Since, the stone is moving in a circular path the distance covered by it is the circumference of the circle.

Circumference of the circle = 2πr

Circumference = 2×22/7×1m

Circumference = 44/7 m.

Total distance covered by the stone = 44/7×20 = 125.7 m

Total time = 10 seconds.

we know that,

Speed = Distance / Time

Speed = 125.7 m / 10 seconds

Speed = 12.57 m/sec.

Therefore, the speed of the stone is 12.57 m/sec

Hope this helps you.
