Given:-

→Speed of the student while he travelled

from home to school = 10m/s

→Speed of the student in his return journey from school to home = 20m/s

To find:-

→Average speed of the student during the complete journey

Solution:-

Let the speeds of the student be v and v₂ respectively.

We can see here, that the distance travelled by the student in both the cases is same.

When distance,travelled by a body is same in both cases, then average speed:-

=>V = 2vv/v+v

=>Vₐᵥ = 2×10×20/10+20

=>Vₐᵥ = 400/30

=>V = 13.33m/s. (approximately)

Thus,average speed of the student of the whole journey is 13.33m/s.
