Distance=12km.
Time= final time-initial time= 9:15-7:45=1hr 30minutes=1.5hours.
Speed=distance/time.
Speed=12km/1.5h.
Speed=8km/h.

The speed of the student is 8km/h.

Bonjour!

1) According to the question, A student walks from his house at 7:45 a.m.and reaches his school at 9:15 a.m.the distance of the school from his house is 12 km.

So, the time taken by the student to travel 12 km = 9:15 - 7:45

= 1 hour 30 minutes

= 1.5 hour

speed =  \frac{distance}{time}

Given distance = 12 km
So,
 =  &gt; speed =  \frac{12}{1.5}  \\  \\  =  &gt; speed = 8 \: km/hr<br /> \:

Hope this helps...:)
