Here, V = -48cm and
U = -12cm
Therefore, 1/F = 1/-48 + 1/-12
ie 1/F = -5/48
F = - 48/5 = -9. 6Cm
Since the focal length is - ve, the mirror used is concave.
m= -V/U = -4
