let the required number be x.

Then,x × \frac{4}{5} = \frac{4x}{5}.

Now according to question,

\frac{x}{4/5}=54+\frac{4x}{5}.

=》x × \frac{5}{4}=54+\frac{4x}{5}.

=》 \frac{5x}{4} = 54+\frac{4x}{5}

=》 \frac{5x}{4} -\frac{4x}{5} = 54

=》\frac{25x-16x}{20} = 54

=》\frac{9x}{20} = 54

=》9x =54×20

=》9x =1080

=》x =\frac{1080}{9}

=》x=120

the number was 120

ANSWER = 80

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the given number be x,

Original answer = 4/5x

 Wrong answer = x/1  /  4/5

                          = x multiplied by 5/4

                          = 5x/4

So,

5x/4 = 36 + 4x/5

5x/4 - 4x/5 = 36

(25x - 1) / 20 = 36

9x/20 = 36

x = (36 multiplied by 20)  /  9

So, x = 80
