let the required number be x.

Then,x ×4/5=4x/5.

Now according to question,

x/(4/5)=36+4x/5

=》x ×5/4=36+4x/5

=》5x/4 =36+4x/5

=》5x/4 -4x/5=36

=》(25x-16x)/20=36

=》9x/20=36

=》9x =36×20

=》9x =720

=》x =720/9

=》x=80

VERIFICATION:

80×(4/5)=16×4

=64

answer got by mistake:80/(4/5)=80×5/4=100

and answer he/she got more=100-64=36

Let the given number be x

5/4x = 36+ 4/5 x

5x/4 - 4x/5 = 36

25x-16x /20 = 36

9x= 720

x= 80

Hence , the given number was 80.
