a student was asked to multiply a number by 10. By mistake he multiplied the number 15 and got the answer 60 more than the correct answer. what is the correct answer?​

Let no be = X

According to the question :

10x= 15x-60

10x-15x=-60

-5x = -60 (minus and minus will get cancelled)

X=60/5

x = 12

10 x = 10 × 12 = 120

15x + 60 = 15 × 12 + 60

= 180+60

= 240

Correct answer will be 240 rather than 120 .. yes , it is correct but half solution . :-)
