Let the number be 'x'

Asked to multiply 3/2,

hence (3x/2)

but he divided by 3/2,

hence he got x/(3/2)= (2x/3)

given, obtained number is smaller by 2/3 than actual number..hence,

Obtained number =actual number -2/3

(2x/3)=(3x/2)-(2/3)

(2x/3)-(3x/2)=2/3

x=4/5

Answer: A : 4/5

Student was asked to : x* 3/2
Student did : x÷3/2 =x*2/3

ATQ
X*2/3 = 3x/2 -2/3
2x/3 = 9x-4/6
12x= 27x-12
12=27x-12x
X= 12/15
X= 4/5
