a student was asked to seperate an impure sample of sulpher which contains sand as the impurity. he tried to purify it with the help of sublimation.but he was not successful.

(1) sublimation not held because their is no sublime substance.
(2) we can separate sulphur and sand by using carbon di-sulphite as a solvent.
sulphur will mix but sand not mix
then sand can be separated by filtiration.
the we get carbon di-sulphite solution
so we can evaporate this solution. carbon di-sulphite will evaporate.
so in this way we can separate
