a student while making a circuit to make a bulb glow using a dry cell connected the plastic covering of the wire to the cell instead of the metal wire inside it will current flow in the circuit why​

No. The current won't flow through it because plastic is an insulator of heat and electricity. So even if the circuit is completed by a piece of plastic, the bulb won't glow

No, the current will not flow in circuit. Because, current only flows from a conductor when the conductor has sufficient amount of free electrons.

Wire is used to conduct electricity but the plastic covering being a insulator is used for protection so plastic will not conduct electricity.

Hence the Bulb will not glow too.
