Given,
Initial distance (from mirror)= 0.5 m
Initial distance (from image)= 2*0.5= 1 m
Speed (going away)= 0.75 m/s
Time taken (going away)= 3 s
So,
Total distance covered= 0.75*3
= 2.25 m
Now,
New distance ( from mirror)= 0.5+2.25
= 2.75 m
New distance (from image)= 2*2.75
= 5.50 m= 5.5 m
