A submarine 39 /4 meters in height is floating on water. If 1/3 of its height is under water, then what is the height of the submarine visible above water? ​

Answer:

Height of submarine = 39/4m

Height under water=39/4-(39/4×1/3)

=39/4-39/12

=117-39/12

=78/12m

Height of submarine visible above water

=(39/4-78/12)m

=(117-78/12)m

=39/12m=3¼m(Answer)
