A submarine starts moving down in water at the rate 6m per minute after sometimes it reachs a depth of 60m . How will this distance be represented? How much time it will take to reach this level?

answer:

time taken to travel 20m = 1 min

time taken to travel 360m=x min

therefore:

1/20=x/360(cross multiply)

20x=360

(isolate x by dividing both size by 20)

x=360/20

x=18mins
