a substance with low pH is acidic .ph can be defined as negative log of hydrogen ,is the degree by which we can find a substance is acidic, basic or neutral like HCl has 2 pH and it is acidic while pure water is 7 and NaOH is basic have higher pH than 7 ..it starts from 0 to 15.it affect the rate of enzyme action and may cause denaturation.
