the elemnt present in the bone is calcium , when it reacts with oxygen it forms calcium oxide
2CaO +O2 ------> 2CaO
when Cao reats with water it forms a base which turns the red litmus paper blue.
CaO +H2O -------------> Ca (OH)2 + heat
