A sugar solution does not conduct electricity but a salt solution does. Explain giving two reasons.

because sugar solution does not contain ions whereas salt water contain ions as liquids which contain ions are good conductors of electricity.

Sugar does not conduct electricity because it is an organic compound and covalent in nature, it does not contain ions while the electricity is conducted by ions only so, in salt solution the ions are found which conduct electricity but in sugar solutions the ions are not found and so they do not conduct electricity.
