a suitcase with measures 80 cm × 48 cm × 24 cm is to be covered with a tarpaulin cloth how many metres of tarpaulin of width 96 cm is required to cover 100 such suitcases?

Since all the sides of the suitcase has to be covered with tarpaulin, We need to find TSA of the box.
Total Surface Area = 2(LB + BH + LH)
L=80 cm
B=48 cm
H=24 cm
TSA = 2(80*48+48*24+80*24)
=>TSA = 2 * (6912)
=>13824 cm²
For 100 suitcases area of tarpaulin needed =>
100 * TSA
=> 100 * 13824
=> 1382400 cm²
CentiMetres of tarpaulin cloth required =>
1382400/96
=>14400 cm=>144 m
