A suitcase is in the shape of a cuboid .

So, surface area of a cuboid=2(lb+bh+lh),where l=length, b=breadth, h=height of the cuboid

Let the length, breadth and height of the suitcase be l , b, h respectively

Here, l = 80cm , b = 48cm , h = 24cm

Therefore, area=2(80*48+48*24+80*24)cm²

= 2(3840+1152+1920)cm²

= 2*6912cm²

= 13824cm²

Hence, surface area of 100 suitcases= 12160cm²*100

= 1382400 cm²

Also, surface area of the tarpaulin will also be the same

Therefore,required length of tarpaulin

=surface area÷width

= 1382400 cm² ÷ 96cm

= 14400 cm (approx)

= 144 m
