A suitcase with measures of 80cm×48cm×24cm is to covered with tarpaulin cloth . How many meters of tarpaulin of width 96cm is required to cover 100such suitcase​.?

Answer:

measurements of suitcase :- l =80cm B =48 cm h = 24cm

T. S. A. OF SUITCASE = 2(LB+BH+LH)

=2(80*48+48*24+80*24)

= 2(3840+1152+1920)

= 2(6912)

= 13824 sq. CM

width of tarpaulin = 96 CM ( B)

length of tarpaulin = a

area of tarpaulin required to cover one suitcase = t. s. a. of one suitcase

a*b = 13824

a * 96 = 13824

a = 13824/96

a = 144 cm

there fore length of tarpaulin required to cover 100 suitcase = 144*100

= 14400

= 144 m
