5 × 80 = Rs 400
10 × 10 = Rs 100

Total = Rs 500

So 5 rupee notes/coins = 80
& 10 rupee notes/coins = 10.

Let no. Of 5 rupee note be X
And 10 rupee note be Y.
Then,
As per given condition
X+Y = 90.......(1)
5X+10Y = 500.......(2)

Multiply eqn 1 with 5
5X+5Y= 450.....(1)×5
5X+10Y = 500.......(2) -___________________
-5Y = -50
Y = 10

Put this value on equation 1
X+10=90
X = 90-10
X = 80

Therefore
No. Of 5 rupee note = X = 80
No. Of 10 rupee note = Y = 10.
