Step-by-step explanation:

X : Y : Z = 1/2 x : 3/4 x : 5/6 x

X+Y+Z = 2500/-

1/2x+3/4x+5/6x = 2500

(6x+9x+10x) ÷ 12 = 2500

25x = 2500 × 12

25x = 30000

x = 1200/-

X = 1/2 ×1200 = 600/-

Y = 3/4 × 1200 = 900/-

Z = 5/6 × 1200 = 1000/-

Max share - Min share = 1000 - 600 = 400₹

Given : A sum of 2,500 is distributed among

X, Y and Z in the ratio 1/2 : 3/4 : 5/6

To Find : difference between the maximum share and the minimum share

Solution:

Share of X  = a/2

Share  of Y  = 3a/4

Share of Z = 5a/6

Total Share = a/2 + 3a/4  + 5a/6

= a(6  + 9 + 10)/12

= 25a/12

25a/12  = 2500

=> a  = 1200

Share of X  = a/2  = 1200/2  = 600

Share  of Y  = 3a/4 = 3(1200)/4 = 900

Share of Z = 5a/6  = 5(1200)/6 = 1000

Maximum share = 1000

Minimum Share = 600

Difference = 1000 - 600 = 400
