Given

  • Principal= ₹2,800
  • Time = 2 year's
  • Amount= ₹2,968

To Find

  • the Sum Of Money which will become ₹4,840 in 5 years .

Solution

 \mathfrak{as \: we \: know \: that}

\sf Simple\ Interest= Amount -  Principal

{\implies\sf Simple\ Interest= 2968 - 2800}

{\implies\sf Simple\ Interest= ₹168}

{\implies \sf \: si =  \dfrac{principal \times rate \times time}{100}}

{\implies \sf \: 168=  \dfrac{2800 \times rate \times 2}{100}}

\implies \sf \: 16800=5600  \times  rate

\implies\sf \:   rate =  \dfrac{16800}{5600}

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~\underline{\boxed{{\tt \:   rate = 3\%}}}
Now According to Question
Let new Principal For 5 year's on amount 4840 be x
  • SI= Amount- principal
  • Amount= ₹4840
  • Time = 5 year's
  • Rate= 3%
 \bold{\mathfrak{as \: we \: know \: that}}
 {\implies\sf \: si =  \dfrac{principal \times rate \times time}{100}}
{\implies\sf \: 4840 - x =  \dfrac{x \times 3\times 5}{100} }
{\implies\sf \: 100(4840 - x) = 15x}
\implies\sf \:  15x = 484000 - 100x
\implies\sf \:  115x = 484000
\implies\sf \:  x =  \dfrac{484000}{115}
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~\underline{\boxed{\tt \:  x =4208 . 6}}

  • the sum of money which will become ₹4,840 in 5 years at the same rate of interest is ₹4,208.6.
